1. Amsterdam Tulip Festival
Every year in April the city of Amsterdam welcomes Spring by decorating over 85 public locations with beautiful flowering tulips, during the Amsterdam Tulip Festival. You read that right, tulips everywhere!
The blooming tulips can be found in the gardens of museums and hotels, most important buildings, and random street corners in different neighborhoods in Amsterdam city.
For even more tulips, you can also visit Keukenhof, the world’s largest flower garden, located only 30mins from the city. Make sure you don’t miss out on Tulip Season 2020 and come visit Amsterdam and Keukenhof this Spring!

2. The Nine streets
The Nine Streets in Amsterdam are the perfect backdrop for all your travel and foodie pics. Find the perfect Spring dress in one of the many cute vintage boutique shops and go for a yummy (and very Instagram worthy) all-day breakfast at Pluk Amsterdam or Ree7.
The Nine Streets are by far the #1 Instagram hotspot in Amsterdam for all Instagram fanatics so make sure to add it to your must-see photo locations.
3. Japanese Cherry Blossom Park
If you love cherry blossom trees as much as I do, you’re in luck! When traveling to Amsterdam in Spring, you can visit the Japanese Cherry Blossom Park in Amsterdamse Bos, a forest close to the city.
Amsterdam has a large Japanese community, who get together each year to celebrate the return of Spring during Hanami Matsuri. During this Cherry Blossom Festival, it’s a tradition to picnic underneath the blossoming trees with friends and family. In 2020 the festival takes place from March 23 to March 31.
The Japanese cherry blossoms between the end of March until the End of April. It can be very crowded on the weekends, so I recommend visiting the park on a weekday, early in the morning. As an alternative, you can also view some magnificent cherry blossom trees in Westerpark.
4. A’DAM LOOKOUT
A’DAM LOOKOUT is one of Amsterdam’s newest Instagrammable Hotspots and a definite favorite amongst tourists AND locals. The 100-meter high tower offers the best 360° panoramic view of Amsterdam and is obviously an amazing spot to enjoy a gorgeous sunset.
Over the Edge Swing
If you need a little bit more action (and a great Instagram photo), this attraction offers the perfect once-in-a-lifetime experience. Strap yourself into the tallest swing of Europe and literally swing over the edge of the city.
